From my experience last year and from continuing to give to charity and realising that I have as much as I need at any point in time I am going to track my Charity Events through this page so that there is a single area to update with progress.
The Charity events for 2013 are:
On Sunday 19th June I will join Team Cisco and participate in the 54 mile cycle from London to Brighton. I have heard the horror stories about Ditchling Beacon and working on my ability to manage uphill! This ride is in aid of the British Heart Foundation who do excellent funding research into Heart Disease and promoting Life Saving skills. If you would like to sponsor / donate for this event please follow this link – http://wp.me/P2088R-9d.
On Saturday 26th June I will be back in the saddle to complete the 66 mile Solent Coasts Cycling Challenge 2013. Again there is a big hill to overcome on the Isle of Wight but the reward is great. The event supports the Hope and Aid Direct charity who take aid to Kosovo and other areas, focussing on the aid and not taking sides in any conflict. If you would like to sponsor / donate for this event please follow this link –http://wp.me/P2088R-9c.
After the exertion of June totally 110 miles I will be easing back in July and taking a leisurely 7 mile walk through London in aid of Kidney Research UK. This cause is close to me as I myself have only one Kidney, the other having been removed when I was a young boy. The charity fund research into better ways to treat and ultimately a cure for Kidney disease. If you would like to sponsor / donate for this event please follow this link – http://wp.me/P2088R-9l.
Thank you to anyone choosing to donate to any of the charities I have chosen to support. Some may be more personal than others but they all do good work.
